General Breed Characteristics

Shih Tzu an ideal dog for small homes or apartments, these fun dogs are hypoallergenic and shed very little.

Grown Height: 9-12 inches (measured at the shoulder)
Grown Weight: 7-9 pounds

Temperament: Spunky is a good description of the Shih Tzu. They are fun loving and affectionate and make great family pets. Early obedience training will produce a happy dog that will be a joy to own – or be owned by. They are quite intelligent and are easily trained.

Basic Care: Brushing your Shih Tzu will ber necessary several times each week and grooming will need to be done regularly.
